A big part of our practice is helping folks through a medical crisis, and people confuse Medicare and Medicaid when they work through that crisis. Medicaid is long-term care need. Medicare is more health insurance. Now, Medicare will cover some hospital stays if there’s a need, so usually it’ll cover… Or some rehabilitative care after hospital stay if there’s a need. Usually, it’ll cover anywhere from 20 to 80 days of extra care as long as you show improvement. It’s frustrating if you don’t show enough improvement, because they can cut it off at any time, but it does help with traditional hospital stays.
